# Uptime

[Uptime](https://uptime.com/go) is an uptime monitoring service and can help websites to check downtime, page speed, and domain health.

Route detailed alerts from Uptime to the right users in Squadcast.

### Using Uptime as an Alert Source

1. Navigate to **Services** -> **Service Overview** -> select or search for your Service. Expand the accordion -> In the Alert Sources section, click **Add**.

2\. Select **Uptime.** Copy the displayed **Webhook URL** to [configure](#create-squadcast-webhook-in-uptime-dashboard) it within **Uptime.** Finish by clicking **Add Alert Source** -> **Done.**

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Important:**

When an alert source turns Active, it’ll show up under Configured Alert Sources, you can either generate a test alert from the integration or wait for a real-time alert to be generated by the Alert Source. An Alert Source is active if there is a recorded incident via that Alert Source for the Service.
{% endhint %}

## Create a Squadcast Webhook Alert in Uptime

**(1)** Login to your Uptime dashboard. Under the **Notifications** tab, select **Integrations** and click on **Add Integration Profile**

**(2)** Under the **Add Integration Profile** tab, select **Custom Postback URL (Webhook)** as **Provider Type**

**(3)** Now, put in the **Name** and paste the previously copied Squadcast Webhook URL in the **URL** place holder. Select desired contacts under **Assign to Contacts** and click on **Save**

That's it, you are good to go! Your Uptime integration is now complete.

Whenever Uptime fires an alert, an incident will be created in Squadcast for it. Also, when an alert is cleared in Uptime, the corresponding incident gets **auto-resolved** in Squadcast.
