Send alerts to Squadcast from Uptime

Uptime is an uptime monitoring service and can help websites to check downtime, page speed, and domain health.

Route detailed alerts from Uptime to the right users in Squadcast.

Using Uptime as an Alert Source

  1. Navigate to Services -> Service Overview -> select or search for your Service. Expand the accordion -> In the Alert Sources section, click Add.

2. Select Uptime. Copy the displayed Webhook URL to configure it within Uptime. Finish by clicking Add Alert Source -> Done.

Important:

When an alert source turns Active, it’ll show up under Configured Alert Sources, you can either generate a test alert from the integration or wait for a real-time alert to be generated by the Alert Source. An Alert Source is active if there is a recorded incident via that Alert Source for the Service.

Create a Squadcast Webhook Alert in Uptime

(1) Login to your Uptime dashboard. Under the Notifications tab, select Integrations and click on Add Integration Profile

(2) Under the Add Integration Profile tab, select Custom Postback URL (Webhook) as Provider Type

(3) Now, put in the Name and paste the previously copied Squadcast Webhook URL in the URL place holder. Select desired contacts under Assign to Contacts and click on Save

That's it, you are good to go! Your Uptime integration is now complete.

Whenever Uptime fires an alert, an incident will be created in Squadcast for it. Also, when an alert is cleared in Uptime, the corresponding incident gets auto-resolved in Squadcast.
