# SigNoz

[SigNoz](https://signoz.io/) is an open source Datadog or New Relic alternative. A single tool for all your observability needs - APM, logs, metrics, exceptions, alerts, and dashboards powered by a powerful query builder.

Route alerts from SigNoz to the right users in Squadcast.

### Using SigNoz as an Alert Source

1. Navigate to **Services** -> **Service Overview** -> select or search for your Service. Expand the accordion -> In the Alert Sources section, click **Add**.

2. Select **SigNoz.** Copy the displayed **Webhook URL** to [configure](#create-a-squadcast-webhook-alert-in-signoz) it within **SigNoz.** Finish by clicking **Add Alert Source** -> **Done.**

{% hint style="warning" %} **Important****:**

When an alert source turns Active, it’ll show up under Configured Alert Sources. You can either generate a test alert from the integration or wait for a real-time alert to be generated by the Alert Source.\
\
An Alert Source is active if there is a recorded incident via that Alert Source for the Service.
{% endhint %}

### Create a Squadcast Webhook Alert in SigNoz

**(1)** Login to your **SigNoz** dashboard and navigate to **Settings** section. Under the **Settings** section, go to **Alert Channels** and click on **+ New Alert Channel**

**(2)** Fill in the **Name**, select **Type** as **Webhook** and paste the previously copied Squadcast Webhook URL in the placeholder for **Webhook URL**. Then click on **Save**

Users can also click on **Test** to test the integration.

That's it, you are good to go! Your SigNoz integration is now complete.

Whenever SigNoz fires an alert, an incident will be created in Squadcast for it. Once the tool sends a **resolved** alert, it will automatically be resolved in Squadcast as well.
