### Using Postman as an Alert Source

2\. Select **Postman.** Copy the displayed **Webhook URL** to [configure](#create-a-squadcast-webhook-in-postman) it within **Postman.** Finish by clicking **Add Alert Source** -> **Done.**

{% hint style="warning" %}
**Important:**

When an alert source turns Active, it’ll show up under Configured Alert Sources, you can either generate a test alert from the integration or wait for a real-time alert to be generated by the Alert Source. An Alert Source is active if there is a recorded incident via that Alert Source for the Service.
{% endhint %}

## Create a Squadcast Webhook Alert in Postman

**(1)** Login to your Postman dashboard. Navigate to the **Integrations** section and select **Webhooks**. Under **Post monitoring results**, click on **Add Integration**

**(2)** Put in the **Nickname**. Choose the appropriate workspace and monitor. Paste the previously copied Squadcast Webhook URL in the **Webhoo URL** place holder. Click on **Add Integration**

![](https://1574591692-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F8TaWz01jmUJl58p4ZVel%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-4fe9e7ee521219b983eaf613a76d86af3b791bf6%2Fpostman_3.png?alt=media\&token=4c057b1b-19ab-4f02-8443-a7a4cb2d4a07)

That's it, you are good to go! Your Postman integration is now complete.

Whenever Postman fires an alert, an incident will be created in Squadcast for it. Once the **errorCount** and **failedTestCount** goes back to **0**, it will automatically be resolved in Squadcast.
