Send alerts to Squadcast from Auvik

Auvik is a cloud-based network management software gives you instant insight into the networks you manage, and automates complex and time-consuming network tasks.

Route detailed alerts from Auvik to the right users in Squadcast.

Using Auvik as an Alert Source

  1. Navigate to Services -> Service Overview -> select or search for your Service. Expand the accordion -> In the Alert Sources section, click Add.

2. Select Auvik. Copy the displayed Webhook URL to configure it within Auvik. Finish by clicking Add Alert Source -> Done.

Important:

When an alert source turns Active, it’ll show up under Configured Alert Sources. You can either generate a test alert from the integration or wait for a real-time alert to be generated by the Alert Source. An Alert Source is active if there is a recorded incident via that Alert Source for the Service.

Create a Squadcast Webhook Alert in Auvik

  1. Login to your Auvik dashboard. Navigate to the Integrations section, click on the ADD INTEGRATION and select Webhook

  1. Put in the Integration Name and paste the previously copied Squadcast Webhook URL in the Webhook URL placeholder. Then click on SAVE

  1. Now, under Manage Alerts section select Notification Channels. Then click on ADD NOTIFICATION CHANNEL

  1. Put in the Name and select Webhook as Contact Method. Then pick up the previously created integration and click on SAVE

Now, users can add these notification channels to various alerts and That's it, you are good to go! Your Auvik integration is now complete.

  • Whenever Auvik fires an alert, an incident will be created in Squadcast for it.

  • Once the Cleared alert is sent, it will automatically be resolved in Squadcast as well.
