Twilio allows software developers to programmatically make and receive phone calls, send and receive text messages, and perform other communication functions using its web service APIs.
Route detailed events from Twilio to the right users in Squadcast.
Navigate to Services -> Service Overview -> select or search for your Service. Expand the accordion -> In the Alert Sources section, click Add.
2. Select Twilio. Copy the displayed Webhook URL to configure it within Twilio. Finish by clicking Add Alert Source -> Done.
Important:
When an alert source turns Active, it’ll show up under Configured Alert Sources, you can either generate a test alert from the integration or wait for a real-time alert to be generated by the Alert Source. An Alert Source is active if there is a recorded incident via that Alert Source for the Service.
You can configure a webhook for a group or a project.
(1) Navigate to Monitor > Logs > Errors > Webhooks & alerts from the left panel of the page
(2) Paste the previously copied Squadcast Webhook URL and click on Save
This will create and complete the configuration of the webhook in your Twilio account.
That is it, you are good to go! Everytime an event with Level: ERROR
or Level: WARNING
occurs in Twilio, an incident would be created in Squadcast.
FAQ:
Q: If an alert gets resolved in Twilio, does Twilio send auto-resolve signals to Squadcast?
A: No, Twilio does not send auto-resolve signals to Squadcast. Hence, Squadcast incidents from Twilio should be resolved manually once issues have been fixed.
