Send alerts to Squadcast from ServerGuard24

ServerGuard24 is an server monitoring service and can help monitor your servers from the simple website to the complex IT landscape.

Route detailed alerts from ServerGuard24 to the right users in Squadcast.

Using ServerGuard24 as an Alert Source

1. Navigate to Services -> Service Overview -> select or search for your Service. Expand the accordion -> In the Alert Sources section, click Add.

2. Select ServerGuard24. Copy the displayed Webhook URL to configure it within ServerGuard24. Finish by clicking Add Alert Source -> Done.

Important:

When an alert source turns Active, it’ll show up under Configured Alert Sources, you can either generate a test alert from the integration or wait for a real-time alert to be generated by the Alert Source. An Alert Source is active if there is a recorded incident via that Alert Source for the Service.

Create Squadcast Webhook Alert in ServerGuard24

(1) Login to your ServerGuard24 dashboard. Under the Settings tab, select Integrations and click on + New Integration

(2) Under the New Integration, put in the Description and select Type as Custom. Select Request Type as POST JSON and paste the previously copied Squadcast Webhook URL in the URL place holder.

(3) Now, Paste the json mentioned below inside the Data Template box. Check the checkbox for Standard Integration and click on Save

Finally, you can assign the integration created above to various checks for incident creation.

That's it, you are good to go! Your ServerGuard24 integration is now complete.

Whenever ServerGuard24 fires an alert, an incident will be created in Squadcast for it. Also, when an alert status changes to OK in ServerGuard24, the corresponding incident gets auto-resolved in Squadcast.
